Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Bar Server to join our team. As a Bar Server, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and memorable experience for our guests.

You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, taking orders, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring the smooth operation of the bar area.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Provide attentive and personalized service, making guests feel valued and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit.
Order Taking: Accurately take drink orders from customers and enter them into the point-of-sale system. Offer recommendations and provide information about the bar's offerings, including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Bar Area Maintenance: Set up and organize the bar area before service, including stocking supplies, cleaning glassware, and ensuring the availability of necessary ingredients. Monitor and restock supplies throughout the shift to maintain efficient operations.
Cash Handling: Process customer payments, including handling cash, processing credit card transactions, and accurately balancing cash drawers at the end of each shift.
Knowledge of Offerings: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the bar's menu, including drink options, ingredients, and preparation techniques. Stay informed about current trends in the beverage industry.
Upselling and Recommendations: Proactively suggest additional drinks, appetizers, or desserts to guests, upselling premium spirits or promotional items to maximize sales and enhance the guest experience.
Cleanliness and Safety: Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness in the bar area. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for both staff and guests.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including bartenders, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure efficient and seamless service. Communicate guest requests and special requirements to the appropriate team members.
Special Events: Assist with the preparation and execution of special events, including private parties, themed nights, and promotional activities.

Who You Are

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience as a server or bartender in a bar or restaurant environment is preferred.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage with guests, build rapport, and deliver exceptional service.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
Organization and Efficiency: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the hospitality industry.
Product Knowledge: Basic knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and spirits.
Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate effectively, and contribute to a positive and harmonious work atmosphere.
Age Requirement: Must meet the legal age requirement for serving alcohol in the respective jurisdiction.
